Description
Our client provides engineering and manufacturing services to the global nuclear sector and is looking to recruit a Planner to support their internal project functions. Our client will consider both Junior and Senior Planners. This will include:
Maintaining the integrated master project schedules within their delegated area of responsibility.
Senior Planners will own the tools and processes used to generate this whilst supporting outputs.
Support core project controls outputs benefiting the project management and customer/ business reporting requirements.
Expectation to produce outputs within the planning sub-discipline but to also engage with other sub-discipline leads to ensure outputs are integrated/aligned.
Senior Planners are expected to work autonomously with little oversight and guidance, supporting more junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain project schedules for large projects/ collections of projects.
Establishing and maintaining the overall structure and delegating responsibilities.
Lead the planning process on large or complex projects.
Lead on the integrated overarching schedule reporting and outputs to the business and end customer.
Includes Earned Value Management (EVM), resource analysis, schedule performance and milestone reporting.
Senior Planners will own the tools, processes, guidance and templates for the Planning disciplines in projects.
Key Requirements
APMG Qualifications & Membership
Experienced in a dedicated planning role working on large and complex programmes
Senior Planner will have experience managing teams of planners or integrating the outputs of less Senior Planners and project controls staff into a master plan.
Junior Planners will need to hold some planning and project management experience with a desire to progress their career.
