The Role

Coordinating field activities, guiding the work team to ensure the safety, quality and productivity of the service provided.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following;

  • Supervise field activities, including drilling, production, and maintenance operations.

  • Ensure efficient execution of operational plans and production targets.

  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.

  • Oversee well integrity, production flow, and reservoir performance.

  • Release of documentation to carry out activities.

  • Technical instruction and guidance for the work team.

  • Evaluating and correcting deviations in the work team.

  • Informing and registering unforeseen events and occurrences in activities with the manager.

  • Commitment to the safety of the work team.

  • Commitment to the quality of the service provided by the work team.

  • Responsible for the time taken to complete activities.

  • Responsible for the performance of the work team.

  • Ordering the tools, parts and equipment needed to carry out activities.

  • Stock control of PPE and consumables in the workplace.

  • Leading by example and commitment to safety and quality.

  • Transmitting the company's ethical and professional values to the entire work team.

  • Disseminating guidelines and directions from managers.

  • Promoting dialog, good understanding and respect within the work team.

  • Motivating and knowing how to delegate activities while respecting the characteristics and profile of each employee.

  • Controlling and recording production demand in order to keep the manager informed of the production process.

  • Requesting and monitoring the maintenance service provided by the electromechanic when necessary.

  • Requesting and monitoring the quality control service provided by the inspector when necessary.

Key Requirements

Experience: The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operations in the oil and gas field, ensuring that production, safety, and environmental standards are met. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and coordination with different teams to optimize field performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven years of experience in oil and gas field operations.

  • Deep understanding of oil and gas field operations, including drilling, production, and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with equipment such as pumps, compressors, separators, and pipelines.

  • Knowledge of well control, reservoir management, and flow assurance.

  • Proficiency in industry-specific software for data analysis and reporting.

2. Leadership & Team Management

  • Strong ability to lead and manage field personnel effectively.

  • Capability to train, mentor, and motivate teams to meet operational goals.

  • Ability to handle conflicts and ensure smooth coordination between different departments.

3. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and operational challenges in the field.

  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks, inefficiencies, and production issues.

  • Quick decision-making to optimize performance and ensure safety.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Understanding of local and international oil and gas regulations.

  • Ability to ensure field operations comply with industry standards.

  • Experience in reporting production, safety incidents, and maintenance activities.

5. Adaptability & Stress Management

  • Capability to work in challenging environments, including remote locations and extreme weather conditions.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-risk situations.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing operational and safety requirements.

Communication requirements

  • Clear and effective communication with field workers, engineers, and upper management.

  • Ability to write detailed reports and document operational data.

  • Strong coordination skills to ensure smooth workflow across teams.
