Project Finance Manager – Aberdeen or Wilton
We at Simpson Booth Ltd are searching for a Project Finance Manager to join our client – a global provider of professional services in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors.
Reporting to the Commercial Director
This role leads and manages the project finance team, whilst providing financial expertise and support to the project and client to meet their business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Revenue Recognition is compliant with the client’s policy and IFRS15.
- Ensure that contractual terms are correctly implemented within the financial system to enable ease of billing and recording of costs.
- Support audit activities for internal, external, and client audits.
- Work closely with Project Controls to ensure cost forecast is accurate and updated regularly reflecting the costs to complete for the project.
- Reviewing and driving excellent working capital management, ensuring DSO and WIP KPIs are effectively monitored.
- Cash forecasting including management of FX risk.
- Ensure all necessary tax compliance and tax risks are reviewed and discussed with the tax team internally.
- Collaborate and support Project Leadership Team in all financial reporting of the project.
- Liaise as required with other project/functional partners.
- Reviewing and driving excellent working capital management, ensuring DSO and WIP KPIs are effectively monitored.

- Collaborate and support Project Leadership Team in all financial reporting of the project.
Skills/Qualifications
- Excellent technical and analytical accounting skills, attention to detail, and essential knowledge of revenue recognition and project accounting.
- Awareness and experience in providing commercial support and analysis related to ongoing or potential business activities and contract negotiations.
- Qualified accountant, or in final stages of qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with experience in a relevant role, ideally within. the international corporate environment is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills who will manage and motivate a team to deliver quality financial data.
- Advanced Excel and system skills, Oracle experience highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
