Project and Engineering Planner

Description

Our client are a global leader in integrated subsea and offshore solutions and a leading manufacturer and supplier of deep-sea marine and commercial diving & life support equipment to the oil and gas industry. They are looking for a Project and Engineering planner to effectively define and maintain planning information to guide organization to deliver projects on time and on time.

Job Description

  • Maintain consolidated Project Master Schedule of all current projects.
  • Ensure Clear links between project Schedules, Design Schedule and Production Schedules
  • Implementing Priority Change Knock Ons through Design and Production Schedules to define resultant project knocks.
  • Reporting on resultant project Knock Ons for decision making
  • Produce Monthly reports on Personnel loadings.
  • Host Project Portfolio Planning meetings.
  • Procure On Time Delivery data for KPIs.
  • Convert Design DWBSs to Schedules
  • Process / Import DWBS into ERP system per project in conjunction with project manager and engineer.
  • Ensure Design Schedule is linked to Project Schedule Deliverable work packages.
  • Capture Design Updates in weekly design meets.
  • Define Schedule Knock on reports for changes to planning and priorities.
  • Define Reports on Design on time delivery and Loadings.
  • Assist to balance/smooth resource loadings and allocate work in conjunction with engineering managers (Mech & Elec)
  • Report on Actual vs planned hrs of ” In Time” KPIs
  • Communicate weekly Design Schedule updates to PMs.
  • Define Design loading forecasts.
  • Development of project progress metrics and control technics
  • Report to Exec on site overall schedule and resource loading.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Process weekly timesheets against preloaded activity budgeted hours (DWBS already loaded in D365) and communicate remaining hours per project.
  • Produce weekly engineering resource capacity overview and forecast resource view reports and submit / present for review.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven manufacturing experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in a multi-project planning environment.
  • Advanced knowledge working on MS Project Software and exposure to Primavera or similar.
  • Competency in the full MS Office package
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile planning environments.
  • Competency in Project Management Software packages and experienced in using ERP or similar company management software.
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be goal oriented.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to maintain relationships with junior staff right through to senior management team, and the client.
  • Experience of contributing to and leading team meetings.
  • Strong tactical individual with a proven track record in project management
  • Analytical thinker with effective decision-making skills
  • The ability maintain and improve processes.
  • Be able to perform in a constantly changing environment.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Able to multitask and be meticulous with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Work overtime as required
  • Code 08 drivers’ license
