We are representing our client, an Oil & Gas Operator who are looking to hire Legal Advisor, the role will be based out of their West London office. The role is on a permanent basis and provides a flexible working arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

The purpose of this role is to provide legal advice and assistance to the corporate functions, with a focus on group finance. The individual will also provide legal support across the business.

Role responsibilities:

  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial, funding and treasury agreements.
  • Co-ordinate and manage multi-jurisdictional financing and corporate transactions.
  • Providing legal advice and support and working with the corporate functions to deliver business efficient transactions and initiatives with scope to also provide legal support across the business.
  • Management of external legal counsel as required.
  • Working closely and regularly communicating with the Corporate Associate General Counsel and other team members as appropriate.

Education and Experience

  • University graduate and professionally qualified lawyer.
  • Post qualification knowledge working as part of a goal-focused team, either with a leading private practice or in-house legal department.
  • Experience of coordinating large multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Experience of providing legal advice on financing, treasury, contractual and legislative matters.
  • Knowledge of upstream oil and gas contractual and regulatory matters would be advantageous.
