Head of Finance

A key role in the leadership team, reporting to the CFO, this is an important position in the organisation with considerable responsibility and influence.

Role purpose:

To apply the highest standards of leadership, management and coordination of the Finance and Procurement Teams, and IT external partners.

Ensure the effective management and coordination of financial reporting, including coordination of periodic forecasting, budget, cash flow management, budget, tax and strategy initiatives across the Group.

Accountable for:

  • Team leadership and mentoring
  • Finance function management across the group global locations, including the UK, Norway, Americas, Middle East, Australia.
  • Preparations of the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecast for the Group and within the timeline expected.
  • Support the external audit process.
  • Ensure global tax compliance with advisors.
  • Cash flow and treasury oversight.
  • Production of the monthly board pack with the CFO and leadership team.
  • Month-end process with the business to deliver accurate and robust detail in accrued income and direct cost accruals.
  • Financial processes and provide support to commercial and operations for goal attainment.
  • Analysis of monthly forecast.
  • Produce bank MI and covenant compliance documentation.
  • Annual budget in conjunction with business planning process.
  • Business systems including ERP (SAP B1).
  • Ownership of the IT strategy including management of IT business partners and SAP Business 1 upgrade.
  • Lead improvements including process standardisation and efficiency focus, including financial reporting improvement process along with the CFO.
  • Leadership of insurance requirements and renewals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure profit and business targets are agreed and achieved.
  • Prepare and fulfil business improvement plans which improve financial viability, risk management and asset returns.
  • Management of the overall Finance function, including budget reviews, cash flow management, month end reports etc.
  • The development of systems, procedures and initiatives across ICR
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various sites and international locations as required.

Key Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Accountant or equivalent professional accountancy qualification.
  • Relevant experience in a finance leadership role.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex financial detail.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Take a proactive approach in support of business leaders.
