Job Specification – Commercial Manager

Department – Contract and Legal Department (CLD)

Reports to – Contract and Legal Department Director

Location – London, hybrid

 Our client, a national organisation involved with UK civilian construction projects including nuclear projects, are looking to hire a full time Commercial Manager to join their team in London. 

Job responsibilities:

  • To draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts
  • To negotiate with supplier to get the best deal
  • Leading procurement activity and preparing related procurement report
  • Manage record keeping for related contract-related correspondence and documentation
  • To monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate
  • To communicate contract-related information to all internal stakeholders
  • To manage the procurement processes and systems and provide procurement advice.
  • To manage the internal price and commercial database in order the relate procurement information could share with internal team.
  • To develop new potential supplier
  • To support for the Director of CLD with respect to other tasks assigned

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree of science, engineering, economics, business or law
  • Familiar with the NEC 3 and FIDC contracts
  • Ability to manage and interpret financial information
  • Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • High level English skills with excellent reading and written skills;
  • Ability to produce accurate and professional documents, proposals and reports
