Business Development Specialist

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Business Development Specialist with extensive knowledge in inland survey, hydrography, environmental monitoring, and maritime construction. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, developing new markets, and creating opportunities for our state-of-the-art USV solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Market Development and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key authorities and operators in Inland Waterways and Infrastructure, as well as other engineering and infrastructure agencies. Collaborate closely to understand their specific operational challenges and introduce tailored USV solutions.
  • Foster partnerships with Hydrographic Surveying and Mapping companies, providing them with innovative USV technology to enhance their surveying capabilities.
  • Identify, attend and exhibit at Survey tradeshows and conferences.
  • Arrange USV product demonstrations.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for USV sales and rentals

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Oceanography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A proven track record in business development within the maritime or a related industry
  • In-depth knowledge of inland survey, hydrography, environmental monitoring, and maritime construction applications.
  • A strong technical aptitude to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, networking, and research capabilities.
  • Highly motivated and dynamic individual with a focus on quality, commitment, and customer service. Empathetic to specific customer needs.
  • Adaptable to market conditions and setbacks – resilient with a positive attitude
  • CRM systems (a plus) as is specific experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365
